Description
Modern robotics isn’t built from scratch; it’s built on ROS2. This course is designed for those ready to transition from basic microcontrollers to sophisticated, distributed robotic systems. You will learn to manage the communication between sensors, actuators, and high-level logic that allows a robot to perceive its environment and move through it autonomously.
Technical Focus Areas
The ROS2 Architecture Understand nodes, topics, services, and actions. Learn how to manage the “heartbeat” of a robot through the RCL (ROS Client Library).
Sensor Fusion & Perception Process real-time data from LiDAR, depth cameras, and IMUs. Learn how robots “see” and interpret spatial data.
Navigation & SLAM Implement Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM). Learn how to give a robot a map and the intelligence to find its way from point A to point B while avoiding obstacles.
Simulation & Visualization Master tools like Gazebo and RVIZ2 to test your algorithms in a virtual environment before deploying code to physical hardware.
