Compared with earlier Pico boards, the Pico 2 W offers a higher core clock speed, 520 KB of on-chip SRAM, 4 MB of on-board QSPI flash memory, and a choice of dual Arm Cortex-M33 cores or dual Hazard3 RISC-V cores running at up to 150 MHz. This dual-core, dual-architecture design gives developers flexibility while maintaining strong hardware and software compatibility with the existing Raspberry Pi Pico ecosystem.
Built-in 2.4 GHz 802.11n wireless LAN and Bluetooth 5.2 make the Pico 2 W ideal for connected projects, IoT devices, remote sensors, home automation systems, wireless controllers, and embedded applications. With 26 multi-purpose GPIO pins, including 4 ADC-capable pins, plus UART, SPI, I2C, PWM, USB, and PIO support, the board offers extensive interfacing options for a wide variety of electronics projects.
The RP2350 also introduces a comprehensive security architecture based on Arm TrustZone for Cortex-M, including signed boot, 8 KB antifuse OTP key storage, SHA-256 acceleration, a hardware true random number generator, fast glitch detectors, and a secure boot ROM. This version is supplied without pre-soldered headers or a soldered debug port, making it a flexible choice for custom builds, low-profile installations, and production integration. A pre-soldered version is also available separately.
